A Girl’s Night Out – Girl’s Party at New Year’s Eve
New Year’s Eve is a fun time to dress up and get together with your significant other and party the night away. If you have no significant other in your life at the moment, but still want to ring the New Year in style, gather all your best girl friends who are also without dates, and have a Girl’s Night Out to celebrate. Here are some ideas on how to plan a fun night for everyone.
Start your night at your house and plan on everyone getting dressed there. Have all the girls bring some dressy article of clothing or accessory they no longer want and everyone can shop from the donated stuff to complete their look. The remaining clothes that aren’t chosen can be donated to charity.
Have tables and mirrors set up so you all can help each other with hair and makeup. If one of the girls is especially good at creating just the right smoky eye, ask her to do the makeup for everyone who wants it. Having everyone pitch in and help each out starts the night off right.
Set out some snacks like fruit or crackers and some sparkling water. Save the alcoholic drinks for later, and keep the offerings of food light.
Keep everyone safe and eliminate the need for a designated driver by hiring a limo to take you first to dinner and then to the club where you will ring in the new year. That way, worries will be kept to a minimum knowing no one will be in the position of having to take away anyone’s keys.
Make your first stop a place for dinner. Drinking on an empty stomach accelerates the effect of alcohol, so by scheduling to eat a meal before the heavy partying, it will help make the day after blues less painful. Choose a place that offers tapas, or an extensive appetizer menu and choose several items for everyone to share. Eating together is a great way to bond, and telling funny stories about what has gone on in your lives this past year is always entertaining.
Choose a club that you all like, and one that is comfortable for a group of single women, preferably one that also has groups of single men there. Many clubs sell tickets for New Year’s Eve packages complete with hats, noisemakers and a champagne toast. Plan beforehand and get the tickets if this is the type of place you want to go. Often these clubs will have a special band or disc jockey as entertainment. If you are going to a club without a New Year’s Eve package, bring your own noisemakers, even though almost all provide them. Make sure there is a big dance floor and a disc jockey or band for maximum fun.
Be sure to keep an eye on each other, and stay safe. Bonding with your best girlfriends can be an awesome way to say goodbye to the old year and ring in the new.
