Billboard Music Awards
The Billboard Music Awards is a big event for both seasoned and up-and-coming music artists. This year the event was held at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas and was overflowing with the best and the brightest in the music world. This occasion was hosted by the duo of Julie Bowen and Ty Burell.
Celebrities got goody bags filled with gifts. There were gift certificates for jelly shoes, Evol Clothing t-shirts, denim mini shorts and skinny jeans, Emu sheepskin and suede boots, Apple gift vouchers for fashion, Jergens and John Friede skin and hair care products, Giovana and Nehita jewelry, hifi cubic speakers by Palo Alto Audio Design, headphones by Sony and vacations to UAE, Chile and the British Virgin Isles – to mention just a few of the freebies offered.
Nineteen year old Bobbi Kristina Brown accepted the Millenium Award on behalf of her late mother, Whitney Huston and the Icon Award went to Stevie Wonder.
The biggest winner of the awards was British singer, Adele. She has taken the world by storm and has clocked up millions of fans with her soulful and melodic sound. Adele has even managed to knock Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ album from decades of being number one. She won an impressive twelve Billboard awards including ‘Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Female Artist, Top Pop Album and Top Alternative Song’.
