Caring for Dry Skin
Your face is your most important asset. It is your face that is first seen by those you meet for the first time. If your face is flawed it will be immediately noticed. An example of having a problem on your face is dry skin.
Having dry skin is a common problem but it is treatable. You shouldn’t have this problem if you are taking good care of your complexion. Taking good care of your complexion means you have a daily routine that includes the basics of cleansing, toning and moisturizing.
You have to use skin products that are ph balanced and don’t contain fragrance. Your cleanser should not contain soap as it has a drying effect. Instead of soap, a cleanser could contain milk. Your toner could be made of natural ingredients; good examples are rose water and witch hazel. Your moisturizer should be rich enough to keep your skin moist and plump.
Whatever face products you choose to use – make sure you choose products that are suited to your unique skin type i.e. normal or oily or dry or a combination. If you use the wrong products on a daily basis they could actually make your skin dry out.
There are degrees of dry skin. You could have mild to severe dry skin. It is also important to use products that are suited to your personal degree of dry skin.
The dryer your complexion is the richer your products should be. Rich does not mean heavy. A good dry skin product has ingredients that add moisture and retain moisture in your skin. Such a product is light because it is easily and quickly absorbed by the skin. It does not form an oily film on your face.
It is possible to care for your dry skin so it improves without your face having an unsightly shine to it.
