Type 2 diabetes is the most common type and it makes up around 75% of diabetes cases. It will typically start later on in life, though it can occur at any age. This type of diabetes is easily controlled through diet and exercise. It has a really strong link to being overweight. The more overweight you are, the higher your risk will be of you developing Diabetes Type 2.
It’s important to focus upon a healthy diet. This includes plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. You will need to really cut down on the amount of fat that you intake in your diet. Rapeseed and olive oil are two good substitutions you should make. You should also limit the amount of carbohydrates that you eat.
