What is Allergy Face

When allergy season is in full bloom, your face will start to show that you are not feeling your best. One of the first things that you will notice is a red face. The red face is irritation and possibly even a rash. Another thing that you will notice is puffiness and even dry skin. You may notice one of these symptoms, or even all of them at once. However, no matter what, the first thing only thing on your mind will be how to get rid of it.

How to Get Rid of Red Face

Getting rid of the red face is the first step in getting your face looking back to normal. By following these simple steps you will be able to get rid of the red colour in no time at all.

  1. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser that has exfoliators. Mix a small amount with some warm water. Using your fingertips, apply the cleanser to your face in a circular motion with a small amount of pressure. This will get rid of the dead skin cells and also and bacteria or excess sebum.
  2. Use a gentle toner on your face to close any open pores. Aloe vera juice or rose water are perfect choices for a gentle toner.
  3. Apply a good amount of moisturizer to your skin. Find one that has calming ingredients including vitamin E and Shea butter. Both have natural anti-inflammatory features and reduce irritation.
  4. Repeat this process twice a day to get rid of the redness in no time at all.

How to Get Rid of Puffiness

Getting rid of puffiness is the second step in getting your face back to normal. You may notice the puffiness around your eyes, on your cheeks and near your lymphnodes.

  1. The first thing that you need to do to reduce the puffiness is make sure you are well hydrated. Drink lots of water and reduce the amount of sodium you are eating.
  2. Soak a wash cloth in ice cold water. Make sure it is extra cold by adding ice cubes and soaking the wash cloth for awhile. Take the wash cloth and place it over your face. Let it sit there for ten minutes to help reduce the puffiness.
  3. If your eyes are extra puffy, steep two tea bags in hot water for three minutes. Let the tea bags cool. You can do this by placing them in the refrigerator. Place the tea bags over your closed eyes for ten minutes. You can do this to other areas of your face as well.
