Everything You Need for a Perfect Winter Holiday
Planning a perfect winter holiday means buying everything you need in advance. Don’t wait until the last minute to plan out your wardrobe, sporting goods and equipment, luggage, and whatever else you need to enjoy your vacation. To ensure you have what you need for your winter holiday, consider a few quick suggestions.
Check your wardrobe. Do you have the right coat, scarf, gloves, hat, and boots? What you wear to the office may be too fancy and delicate for a ski trip or hike in the woods during winter. If you keep warm nylon gloves for skiing and a ski coat tucked away just for your vacations, check them now for holes, a ripped zipper, and other repairs they need, or to see if you need new items altogether. Try on your boots, as feet do change size and shape over the years.
For a sporting vacation, check your equipment and sporting goods. Are your skis in good repair? Note the bindings and if they need to be replaced. Clean off your snowboard and sharpen the blades of your ice skates, and check their laces. Indulge in some new equipment if yours is worn and outdated.
If you are planning a winter holiday that involves some special events or occasions, note if you have the right dress, shoes, hose, and accessories. The little black dress you have in the back of your closet may not fit and may look a bit outdated, so pull out everything you’ll be wearing for your vacation and make a list of new items you need, including casual clothes and clothes to wear when you go out to dinner.
For a winter holiday that involves some romance, be sure you make a list of what you need and shop and then pack accordingly. Buy some nice new lingerie that’s perfect for the winter season; a sheer nightgown can keep you covered but still be very sexy. A new nightgown and robe set can also be a good idea for the winter holiday. It’s also good to pack what you need to encourage romance; this may include massage oils, speakers for your MP3 player so you can play romantic music, some champagne, and special chocolate treats. (If you are flying, note any restrictions the airline may have about liquids and food items being packed.)
New luggage can also be a must-have for your winter holiday. Check the luggage you have currently and if you need to invest in something new, indulge yourself with a fun pattern or color. Look for black, white and red stripes or molded plastic cases in bright red or deep blue. Luggage needs to be functional but it can also be fun, so shop around for something that really expresses your personality.
