Gwyneth Paltrow

In 2004, Gwyneth Paltrow gave birth to her first child, Apple. She was able to quickly get herself back into shape and have her pre-baby body back. However, when she gave birth to her son Moses two years later, it was not as easy as it was the first time. It could be due to being slightly older or maybe metabolism just wasn’t what it once was. This is when she called in reinforcements.

Tracy Anderson jumped into action and made it her mission to help Gwyneth get back to her pre-baby body. Paltrow stated, “She was this force from the second I met her. She pulled my pants off. I’ll never forget it. She was like, ‘Oh, my God, wow, I just am so surprised, because you look so good inclothes. I wasn’t expecting this.’ ”

Anderson decided to go with a targeted approach for the actress. She identified areas that needed worked and created tailored exercise regimens to help her fix them. The following are some tips that come directly from the fitness guru herself. If you carry weight in your thighs and hips you should work upper and lower body equaly. Limit stair-climbing, lunges and spinning.

Need some help on your bottom? Cut back on the running and spinning, but do more back and side leg lifts. If you have a thicker mid-section or bust, skip Pilates and yoga and instead go with high-impact aerobics and fast moving arm exercises.
