Is There a Season for Falling in Love?
You may have heard the saying that spring is when a young man’s fancy turns to love, but is there really something special about the season that makes falling in love easier? Do people tend to find love during certain seasons versus others, and how can you increase your chances of finding love during any time of the year?
Spring and summer may be very favorable times for finding love because people are typically anxious to get out of the house and socialize with others, especially after a long winter. They may make more plans during summer that bring them more opportunities to find love; they may go to the beach or for walks along local nature trails, or plan camping weekends or road trips with friends. The more people they meet, the more opportunities they have to find someone special.
This doesn’t mean that spring and summer are the only times to find love. When the children go back to school in the fall, single parents may meet other single parents through their child’s school activities and find love that way. Fall is also a good time for after work activities that can help you to find love, such as joining a gym or taking evening classes. Many people have found a special someone through these types of activities.
Winter is often more difficult for those looking for love, but it has its own opportunities. Christmas parties can mean meeting new people with whom you might fall in love. You might continue your after work activities such as classes, sports leagues, gym membership, and so on. You might also plan special winter vacations that give you the opportunity to meet someone special, such as a ski trip or visits to a tropical resort.
Finding love often takes work no matter the season. You need to put yourself in social settings where you’ll meet someone special and then build that relationship with shared experiences. This is often easier during the summer when you can plan more activities, which is why so many equate spring and summer seasons with falling in love. During winter it may be more difficult to get out and meet new people and plan activities but it can be done.
If you’re looking for love, be determined to not let the season or the weather hold you back. Think of what you can do to increase your odds of meeting someone special. Take classes after work, join a single’s travel group, tell your friends that you’d like to meet someone new, or do volunteer work. You can do any of these during any season, so don’t wait for summer to find love!
