Raffles International Designers
The Raffles International Designer label was showcased in Sydney of Australia. The occasion was the ‘Mercedes Benz Fashion Week’. The collection was made up of very talented young designers who got their best training in Australia.
Ayaka Ichikawa is from Japan. She trained for her craft in Tokyo. This designer wanted to explore design and culture and spent three years in Thailand. She then went on to achieve a Bachelor of Design in Sydney, Australia.
After Ayaka graduated, she started the ‘Aquintic’ fashion label. This label is a collection of evening and daywear for women. This collection debuted at the ‘Mercedes Benz Fashion Week’.
The collection is high-end. The garments have very intricate finishes, details and tailoring.
Ayaka never waivers in her belief that fashion is an expression of art.
The designer, Gabriel Lee is Korean. He studied fashion in Sydney, Australia. This highly talented designer has won many awards that are both local and international. He has won: ‘1st Frock up in Color’, ‘Up and Coming Fashion Designer’, ‘2nd Race Wear’, ‘1st Tertiary Australian Wool’, ‘Design Excellence’, ‘Best Collection’ and ‘Do It With Denim’.
His collection debuted at the ‘Mercedes Benz Australian Fashion Week’. This young designer made an impact due to his sharp eye and instinct for enhancing the silhouette. He does so with complete simplicity that is highlighted further by daring details.
Gabriel has confessed he gets his inspiration from ‘whatever is happening around him – even the tiniest occurrence’.
Gabriel Lee is currently focusing on his label in Australia and South Korea. It is highly likely his designs will soon be seen in many more destinations. This designer seems to have an almost natural instinct for coming up with garments that are a combination of old school tailoring and new age designs.
There seems to be no stopping Gabriel Lee who has caught the attention of the fashion industry fundis and world celebrities.
