Fun Activities to do With Your Child in the Child Abuse Prevention Month
Activities with your child are very vital for they help him grow both physically and mentally. There are many activities that are fun when you do them together with your child on this month of April. Since learning begins at home from an early age, reading to your child makes them see that reading is important and they will enjoy it too. You can ask the child to help you turn the pages, so that other than listening he or she is also participation.
Take some time out and cook with your child. The kitchen can be a fun place to be and you can make it more fun by trying different recipes whether simple like ice cream, salads or a little more complicated. You can choose a recipe you have never tried before and with the help of your child make a dish. This creates more bonding with your child and you can talk and educate your child about child abuse as you cook.
If you have a garden, you can work on it with your child. Planting and weeding would be so much fun and the child would be learning different things like how the plants grow parts of a flower, the right way to plant and water the plants and so much more. Give your child a plant to grow on his own so that he is responsible for its growth. That will develop his or her nurturing and responsibility skills.
Children love fun activities like roller blading and ice-skating. It could also be just a ball game in the back yard. When you share a sporting moment with your child whether you like the sport or not, the child will appreciate, feel loved and see that you care about the various sporting activities that he or she likes.
Picnics in the park are a favorite on a nice warm summer day. Having picnics with your child not only is it fun but also you have a bonding moment with him or her. You are able to listen to the child since the child may probably open up and share with you because the environment is open and different than home.
If you are indoors with your child, you can choose to watch a movie together. Let the child choose a movie that he or she want to watch, make some pop corn and slouch on the couch. Having a good laugh with your child will make him or her appreciate that you can actually spend time with them and have fun.
You can give your child some art and design work and do it together. It could be making pictures or moulding, or drawing a picture, a card for an occasion and so much more. When you are done with drawing the picture together, you can both sign it and hang it on your child’s wall or the kitchen. It will be a nice reminder of the moment you spent together on the month of April.
