Who Made Vogue’s List of Pretty Young Things Under 45
Vogue Magazine means high fashion and glamour, and their lists are some of the most influential in the world. They recently released their “Pretty Young Things Under 45” and you may be surprised at some of the names that made the cut.
Kristen Stewart topped the list, despite her recent cheating scandal with “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders. Her work as Bella in the “Twilight” series makes her a favored sweetheart among many and any damage to her career has yet to be seen. Jennifer Lawrence of “The Hunger Games” fame also topped the list, and her fit physique and award-winning performance in the hit movie make her a natural selection.
Other names that were not surprising include Lady Gaga and actress Zoe Saldana, two naturally talented beauties who are both tops in their industries. Adele and Victoria Beckham also made the cut with little surprise, as Adele has topped the musical charts for many months now and Victoria still continues to see success with her design line, dVb. Beyonce was another name that was not surprising as her career keeps going strong, and she and her husband Jay-Z are continuously named as the most influential and most successful couple in entertainment and clothing design.
Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine also made the list; her fiery red hair and talent behind the microphone give her a natural beauty second to none. Another name making its entry this year is Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, or Kate Middleton as she’s known in informal circles. The Duchess’ style is easy and natural but stunningly beautiful, and absolutely fitting a queen-to-be. Taylor Swift was also mentioned for her classic but breezy style onstage and off.
The Fanning sisters Dakota and Elle both made the list, as both have shown their talent in front of the camera and their mature and demure styles when walking the red carpet. Another set of sisters that made the list were Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen; their eye for fashion has made them two of the most successful designers in the industry.
Blake Lively is another actress that easily made the cut, as her all-American good looks make her a natural for any “pretty young thing” list. Actress Carey Mulligan was also mentioned, as she’s never faltered when it comes to her red carpet style. Of course Miranda Kerr was also mentioned; her dark hair and fit physique make her a natural on the runway.
The men were not left off the list, as Zac Posen and Jonathon Saunders both made the cut for their creative flair and artistic eyes. Scott Sternberg, the man behind Band of Outsiders, was also mentioned for his classic Americana style. Designer Jason Wu was also mentioned for his amazing creations that truly know how to adorn a woman.
